Due to the full moon of Chaitra month on this day, this date is celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti.

One should never wear black or white clothes while worshiping on the day of Hanuman Jayanti. On this day worship should be done wearing red or yellow clothes and red flowers, red clothes should be offered to Hanuman ji. Worship should not be done even wearing black clothes. It has negative effect.

People who are worshipers of Hanuman ji should not consume salt on the day of Hanuman Jayanti. Apart from this, whatever you donate on this day, donate sweets etc. It should not be consumed by itself.
