◆ Selection board has issued advertisement for recruitment on 4, 163 posts.

◆ Demand to include posts of ad hoc teachers in advertised positions

Prayagraj: Trained graduate teacher (TGT) and Spokesperson Cadre (PGT) recruitment- In 2022, competitive students are opposing Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board for issuing advertisement of only 4,163 vacant posts. He says that a large number of posts of assistant teachers and lecturers are vacant in non-government aided secondary schools across the state. Stating that about 22,000 posts of ad hoc teachers are vacant, they are demanding their inclusion.

Sheetla Prasad Ojha of the competitive student delegation told that on this demand, a gradual fast will be started outside the selection board from 11 am on Thursday. The selection board had issued this recruitment advertisement in June-2022. In this, there are 3,539 posts of TGT, of which 3,213 posts are for boys and 326 posts are for girls. Similarly, out of total 624 posts of PGT, there are 549 posts for boys and 75 posts for girls.

In the petition filed in the case of ad hoc teachers of Aided secondary schools, the Director of Secondary Education has opined in the High Court that according to the order of the Supreme Court in the case of Sanjay Singh, it is not appropriate for ad hoc teachers to pay salary from the exchequer. On this basis, competitive student Sheetla Ojha says that the posts of ad hoc teachers should be added to this recruitment, so that more students can get the opportunity.
