For recruitment to this post, it is mandatory to have an educational qualification intermediate pass. Should be a native of the same Gram Sabha where the post is vacant. Will have to apply online along with income, caste, residence certificate. Since the year 2012, there has not been any recruitment for the post of Anganwadi worker. Earlier, the educational qualification for recruitment to this post used to be high school, but last year the educational qualification was made intermediate pass. There are a total of one lakh 89 thousand 897 sanctioned posts of Anganwadi workers. Out of these, about 52 thousand posts are lying vacant due to death, retirement on attaining the age of 60 years, leaving the job. Each worker is responsible for several centers in all the districts.
