Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath addressed the conference of panchayat representatives belonging to the Congress party in the capital today. During this he made several announcements. He told what will be done for Gram Panchayats, Sarpanchs and Panchs after winning the 2023 assembly elections.
Kamal Nath said that it was Mahatma Gandhi’s dream to establish equal village self-government, Rajiv Gandhi amended the constitution and gave powers to the sarpanches towards the beginning of Panchayati Raj. Panchayat representatives will play an important role in forming the Congress government and as soon as the Congress government is formed, the Panchayat representatives will be given their administrative rights.
