According to the information received, the incident of firing took place last day in village Daman Tola of Devendra Nagar of Panna district. In which 3 people were injured, a case of attempt to murder was registered under IPC section 307. Vijay Yadav was also named in the same case. In the complaint given to the Lokayukta police, Vijay Yadav said that he was not involved in the incident. When he told this to the police, a demand of one lakh rupees was made by station in-charge Jyoti Singh Sikarwar and head constable Amar Singh.

The Lokayukta team again spoke to the complaint under the verification procedure. Audio recorded. This time the deal was fixed for ₹ 50000. The team of Lokayukta chalked out a strategy for guerrilla action. On Sunday, as soon as the team of Lokayukta Sagar reached, Devendra Nagar police station in-charge of Panna police station Jyoti Singh Sikarwar and Havaldar Amar Singh were arrested from their residence while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.

It has been told that the Lokayukta police team asked Inspector Jyoti Singh Sikarwar to go to their police station to read the letter, but he refused to go and misbehaved with the Lokayukta team. In return, Inspector Manju Singh, present in the Lokayukta team, slapped him and brought him to the police station.

In Devendra Nagar police station, the police staff surrounded the team of Lokayukta in support of station in-charge Inspector Jyoti Singh Sikarwar. A fight started between the two parties. Lokayukta DSP Rakesh Khadke, Inspector Manju Singh, constable Ashutosh Vyas and others were thrashed by the Devendra Nagar police and station in-charge Jyoti Singh Sikarwar also fled from there after the incident. During this brawl, head constable Amar Singh fled from the spot.
