The body of 11-year-old Rahul’s son Garibdas, missing for two days in Tigri village of Gajraula police station area, was found in the old temple of the village. He was a student of class five in the council school of the village itself. There are marks on the neck of the deceased. Those who are pointing towards being killed by strangulation. It is visible from the eyes that more than 12 hours have passed since his death. The dead body is being sent for postmortem.
Premvati’s husband Garibdas, a resident of Tigri village of Gajraula police station area, died in an accident five years ago. There is four bighas of land allotted on lease in the name of Premvati. The fourth of five children, including three daughters and two sons, 11-year-old Rahul was a Class V student. He studied in the primary school of the village itself. Along with farming on her land, Premvati does the work of selling prasad on the banks of the Ganges on new moon and full moon days. Rahul also used to help in selling Prasad. On Friday, on the full moon, Rahul did the work of selling prasad to the devotees who came to bathe on the banks of the Ganga. Left after dinner at six o’clock on Friday evening itself. After this did not return. When he did not come till late night, the worried family started looking for him. The relatives reached the police station on Saturday.
A charge of child abduction was registered against the unknown. After this, the police also started searching for the child. On Sunday, the people and relatives of the village were searching for the child at different places. While searching for his brother Pushpak and Pramod of the village, Angoori Devi reached the old temple behind Dharamshala. Seeing the dead body of the child lying here, he screamed. Police reached on information. Took information about the incident. Police said that the body of the missing child has been found for two days. The relatives are alleging murder. The incident is being investigated.
